WHAT IS A UK STUDENT VISA
The UK Student Visa allows international students to study at licensed institutions in the UK.
You must have an unconditional offer and a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a UKVI-approved sponsor before applying.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To apply, you must:
- Have a valid CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies)
- Meet English language requirements (IELTS or equivalent)
- Show proof of sufficient funds
- Have a valid passport
- Meet health requirements (including TB test, if applicable)
The visa is based on a points-based system.

WORK RIGHTS
Student visa holders are generally allowed to:
- Work up to 20 hours per week during term time
- Work full-time during holidays
AFTER STUDY (GRADUATE ROUTE)
Eligible students can apply for the Graduate Route, allowing:
- 2 years of work (Bachelor’s/Master’s)
- 3 years (PhD graduates)
