WHAT IS A STUDENT VISA
A New Zealand student visa allows international students to study full-time in an approved course.
You must have an Offer of Place from an approved education provider before applying.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To apply, you must:
- Have an Offer of Place from a recognized institution
- Show proof of sufficient funds for tuition and living expenses
- Meet English language requirements
- Have good health and character
- Show intent to comply with visa conditions

- Tuition fee payment proof (if required)
- Academic documents
- English test results (IELTS / equivalent)

APPLICATION PROCESS

- Tuition fees
- Living expenses
- Return travel

WHILE STUDYING IN NEW ZEALAND
Students must:
- Stay enrolled in their approved course
- Maintain attendance and progress
- Follow all visa conditions
WORK RIGHTS
Most student visa holders can:
- Work up to 20 hours per week during study
- Work full-time during scheduled holidays
